How to add a bookmark to Ninja on mobile devices?

There are 2 ways of adding a bookmark to Ninja on mobile devices:

(A) Adding a bookmark via bookmarklet - see details below (it requires installing the bookmarklet).

(B) Adding a bookmark via email - see details below (no installation is required).

Adding a bookmark via bookmarklet in mobile Safari

It works on iOS 10 and above. Make sure you have installed the bookmarklet in your mobile browser: How to install the bookmaklet in your mobile browser?

1. Tap on the Bookmarks icon at the bottom of the page.
   
2. Make sure the Favourites folder is the active folder. If not, then navigate to it, Safari will remember it next time.
3. Tap on the "Add to Ninja" bookmarklet.
4. The "Add bookmark" window will come up.
5. Select Catalog or Dashboard with the destination Tab/Category.
6. Optionally add tags and notes.
7. Tap on "Add Bookmark" to add the bookmark to Ninja.

Adding a bookmark via bookmarklet in mobile Chrome on iOS

Make sure you have installed the bookmarklet in your mobile browser: How to install the bookmaklet in your mobile browser?

1. Tap on the menu icon (3 horizontal dots in the bottom right corner).
2. Tap on "Bookmarks".
3. Make sure the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder is the active folder. If not, then navigate to it, Chrome will remember it next time.
4. Tap on the "Add to Ninja" bookmarklet.
5. The "Add bookmark" window will come up.
6. Select Catalog or Dashboard with the destination Tab/Category.
7. Optionally add tags and notes.
8. Tap on "Add Bookmark" to add the bookmark to Ninja.

Adding a bookmark via bookmarklet in mobile Chrome on Android

Make sure you have installed the bookmarklet in your mobile browser: How to install the bookmaklet in your mobile browser?

1. Tap on Chrome's URL field.
2. Type "add".
3. Suggestions will popup, tap on the "Add to Ninja" bookmarklet (starts with "javascript: ").
4. The "Add bookmark" window will come up.
5. Select Catalog or Dashboard with the destination Tab/Category.
6. Optionally add tags and notes.
7. Tap on "Add Bookmark" to add the bookmark to Ninja.

Adding a bookmark via email

1. In your mobile browser tap on Share and select the appropriate menu to send the website link in email.
2. Send the link to the following email address: add@bookmarkninja.com
3. The bookmark will be added to your Catalog. You can check your Catalog bookmarks on the My Bookmarks page.
4. On the My Bookmarks page you can add tags to the bookmark or you can move the bookmark to the Dashboard.
5. Make sure you send the link from the email address that is associated with your Bookmark Ninja account.

Adding a bookmark with tags via email

1. In your mobile browser tap on Share and select the appropriate menu to send the website link in email.
2. Enter add@bookmarkninja.com in the recipient ("To") field.
3. In the email body type "Tags:" or "Tag:" or "T:" (without the quotes) at the beginning of a new line (you can use lowercase characters, too, it's not case-sensitive).
4. Then type the tags separated by commas (see examples below).
5. Send the email. Make sure you send the link from the email address that is associated with your Bookmark Ninja account.
6. The bookmark will be added to the Catalog with the specified tags.

Tag: recipes, gordon ramsay, beef
T: recipes, gordon ramsay, beef

You can have the "tags" line anywhere in the email body, it can be before or after the URL. What is important, you have to start typing at the beginning of a new or blank line in the email body.
